Check out the new music video “Kid Sparrow” by Vancouver artist Elle Ectric.

This video was filmed in the back woods of the songwriters home town; North Vancouver BC. It was directed and edited by Elle Ectric and filmed by photographer friend Raquel Saboe.

“Kid Sparrow” is the first and title track on the artists second album; she plans on releasing the album in a series of singles each paired with a DIY video.

This is a contrast from Elle Ectric’s first studio album; titled “The Queen Of Mars”, which was recorded with her band in 2014 at the infamous Armoury Studios.

Elle Ectric started her band in 2013; playing the club circuit and writing her first studio album; after difficulties getting the sound she wanted in the studio she decided to teach herself how to engineer, mix and write electronic music; to have full artistic control over her sound. Elle taught herself by taking lessons with producer friends and even sourcing out Vancouver’s notoriously talented Chin Injeti to ask him about some of his electronic production tricks.

The DIY music making was the catalyst for this multimedia DIY project including all video concepts, editing and directing. The Kid Sparrow album is anticipated to have more of a Lykki Li meets Grimes vibe and just seems dope.
